The Yatming Chevy stepside is the best and most accurate ‘squarebody’ truck dinky. It is highly detailed with a Chevrolet bowtie grill emblem and ‘Chevrolet’ written across the functional tailgate. The Yatming Chevy Stepside came in 2wd and 4x4 variations. My friend Donald had the 4x4 version in yellow and he had replaced the axels and tires with larger ones from a larger-scale dinky. When I see Yatming stepsides at thrift stores or marche aux puces I buy them. I have a nice black 4x4 with green and gold stripes that I took apart and added bigger wheels and axels to 30 years late. I also have a couple white 2wd ones that I like and I thought it would be nice to offer something old and hard to find for Gift Shop Project so I started to buy every white one that I could find on eBay and elsewhere. I checked all the time and bought them from all over the United States: Smyrna, Delaware; Delaware, Ohio; Janesville, Wisconsin; Crown Point, Indiana; Whitehall, Pennsylvania; Columbia, Tennessee; Amboy, Indiana; and Safety Harbor, Florida. They all have play wear, some more than others.
